The Storm: Untitled 6,

Acrylic on cardboard 70.0 × 50.0 cm

This painting is part of a wider collection in which Rashed delves into the world of “Sims”, exploring how video games simulate real life. A party of people in a convertible seem to celebrate as colour explodes around them. Rashed transfers the plastic, flat features of the Sims characters into his figures. The situations Rashed creates interrogate the actions of ordinary people when allowed to play God within the game.
